On 11th May, CCCWS and Center for International Security and Cooperation(CISAC) of the US Stanford University co-hosted a symposium on Northeast Asian Security And Cooperation. IDCPC Vice-Minister and CCCWS President Yu Hongjun made a speech at the symposium. And Dr. Kong Genhong, Secretary-General of CCCWS Council chaired the symposium. Present at the symposium were CCCWS Deputy Director-General Jin Xin, Mr. Zhao Shitong,CCCWS Research Fellow, Mr. Ye Xiaolin, Deputy Director of Contemporary World magazine, Mr. Teng Jianqun,Senior Research Fellow,Director of the Center for Arms Control and International Security Studies, China Institute of International Studies(CIIS), Prof. Su Hao, Founding Director of Center for Strategic and Conflict Management of China Foreign Affairs University, Ms. Yu Shaohua,Senior Research Fellow,Director of the Department for Asia-Pacific Security and Cooperation Studies of CIIS, Mr. Yang Xiyu,Senior Research Fellow of CIIS, Prof. John Lewis, Freeman Spogli Institute(FSI)Senior Fellow and founder of CISAC at Stanford University, Mr. Robert Carlin,Visiting Fellow of CISAC, Prof. Frederick Carriere,Research Professor of Political Science, Pacific Century Institute (PCI) Senior Fellow in the Korean Peninsula Affairs Center of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and some other people. The above experts and scholars exchanged views on Northeast Asian peace, situation in Korean peninsula and China-US relations.
